Proven Success in Smart Building Integration

01

Shard

For more than seven years, Zone Electrical Contractors has delivered ongoing support and enhancement of the Mecoshade blind control system at The Shard, ensuring consistent performance, energy efficiency and precise daylight management. Operating within one of the world’s most prominent live environments, our team has executed maintenance and system upgrades with minimal disruption, applying meticulous technical expertise at every stage. Through targeted optimisation and the integration of forward-looking technologies, we have strengthened system reliability and future-proofed the installation, ensuring the blind control solution continues to meet the evolving needs of occupants while upholding the building’s exceptional operational standards.

02

Goldman Sachs

Zone Electrical Contractors served as principal contractor for the delivery, installation and commissioning of the Lutron blind control system at Goldman Sachs’ new London headquarters, overseeing a large-scale deployment of over 800 automated blinds. The solution was fully integrated with the building management system (BMS), enabling centralised, data-driven control of daylight, thermal conditions, and energy performance across the workplace. Delivered within a high-profile, operational environment, the project was executed with minimal disruption and strict adherence to programme, quality, and governance standards. The completed system operates as a cohesive part of the wider smart-building infrastructure, optimising energy efficiency, enhancing occupant comfort, and supporting the long-term operational strategy of the building.

03

Apple

At Apple’s Battersea Power Station campus, Zone Electrical Contractors delivered a high-density blind control deployment spanning the top six floors of the building, covering in excess of 900 blinds. The solution was designed around wireless local control at each blind, with full integration into the building management system (BMS) via Vestamatic control software, enabling scalable group control and responsiveness to live weather-station data. The system architecture supports both granular user interaction and fully automated operation, dynamically adjusting to external conditions to enhance daylight optimisation and energy performance. Engineered for resilience and longevity, the installation delivers seamless operation within a landmark environment, meeting Apple’s rigorous technical, performance, and reliability standards.

We delivered a complex external shading project at Chiswick Park with precision and efficiency. Despite working in occupied buildings, our team ensured minimal disruption while delivering seamless integration and full system functionality.
